The 1960s saw grape growers turn to winemakers at Fattori Radano. The wine is matured in old, large format barrel for a year.
Exotic spice, salted liquorice, black currants, black olive with a touch of rosemary or ‘other’ dried green herbs with a suggestion of spicy, toasty oak in background. Sinewy and fine in the palate, exceptionally long in flavour, fine tannins, good energy across the palate, liveliness of fruit and acidity – stellar example of Chianti here. Restrained, compact, delicious stuff. 92pts MIKE BENNIE, www.winefront.com.au
