There is no shortage of enthusiasm when Bryan Martin releases a set of wines, past vintages being snapped up right out of the gates. The newly released 2019's are terrific and simply confirms what all the fuss is about. Following some difficult conditions, described by Bryan as "no picnic either".
2019 hit him with frost, heat, lots of dry, and then rain at the end too, but it was noticeable how resistant his vineyard has become since converting to organics. He saw it again this year, when after so much rain the fruit still came in positively gleaming and bright. Tragically, as seen with so many producers in NSW and Victoria, 2020 was a write off due to smoke taint. Fortunately Bryan was able to still produce some wines from a little further afield, thus the creation of 'Long Way Round' (The delicious Pinot Noir also featuring below).
These will go quickly and we can only encourage you to snap up what you can because two years is a long time to wait!
