Importer: 7.5% alc, 78g/l r/s. Yellow fruit and honey, and feels richer on the palate and weightier on the finish because the acidity is slightly lower than the previous.
MFW: Telltale aromatics including pear, quince, greengage, laurel and caraway. Packed with fruits, spices and herbs yet incredibly filigreed right into the spicy finish. A superb effort with real spatlese character. 94/2028-48
Gilman: Also superb. The bouquet is bright and beautifully expressive for a young Domprobst, a blend of pear, apple, violets, bee pollen, a lovely base of slate and a gentle topnote of wild yeasts. Fullish and succulent on the attack, with beautiful purity to the fruit, fine soil signature and a long, balanced and zesty finish. I love the slate-acid duality that defines the back end. This will need only three or four years in the cellar to really start drinking with style and generosity. 93+/2023-75
